A family owned company working out of Bolton, holding the trades most rural properties actually need.
River Ridge began in 2011 as a small operation out of Bolton doing the work our neighbours needed doing. There was no plan beyond turning up on time and finishing properly.
Fifteen years on that is still the plan. We grew the way a family company grows, one property at a time, and the three of us are still the crew you meet on site. There is no sales department between you and the work.
What changed is the range. We bought our own equipment rather than renting, and each of us took a different trade seriously, so between us we cover almost everything a rural property throws up. A client can call about a garage in June, a drainage problem in September and a plough contract in November, and speak to the same three people every time.
Most contractors specialise in one and subcontract the rest. We carry all three, because the seams between trades are where projects usually go wrong.
Everything built above ground. Garages, workshops and outbuildings, decks, fencing and structural repair, framed and finished to code.
Everything that moves earth. Excavation, grading, trenching, augering, driveway construction and haulage, on machines we own and maintain.
Everything living. Tree health assessment, structural pruning, hazard and storm removals, planting and stump grinding.
Short travel distances are what let us reach a storm call quickly in winter and start a summer project the same week it is approved.
